Buy Michigan Now’s 11th Annual Festival Returns to Downtown Northville

Festival to Take Place August 2-4, 2019

(Livonia, July 1, 2019) – Buy Michigan Now is gearing up to host the 11th Annual Buy Michigan Now Festival in Downtown Northville, August 2-4, which promotes Michigan-based businesses. Limited vendor and sponsorship opportunities are still available.

“We are so excited to once again be celebrating Buy Michigan Week with a great big party in Northville,” said Lisa Diggs, founder of the Buy Michigan Now campaign. “Every year it is a delight to see people come back for their favorites and discover brand new Michigan-made products.” 

The 11th annual Buy Michigan Now Festival in Downtown Northville is a weekend filled with fun activities that reinforces the campaign’s mission to feature a wide variety of Michigan businesses, food, entertainment, and shopping opportunities, in celebration of Buy Michigan Week

Festival Information

The Buy Michigan Now Festival is scheduled to run from:

  • 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. on Friday, August 2
  • 1o a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, August 4

Town Square is slated to be home to a Michigan Beverage Garden, featuring a variety of beer and wine made locally, as well as Faygo pop. Proceeds benefit the Living and Learning Enrichment Center, which helps build social and job skills for individuals with autism and related challenges. The center will soon be opening an upscale shop in Downtown Northville with Michigan-made foods, art, and other locally-produced goods called Mod Market. The store will provide job skills experience for clients and a place to sell products they’ve produced at Living and Learning, alongside the other Michigan-made products. Buy Michigan Now is sponsoring a pop-up shop for the market at this year’s festival as a preview of what’s to come.  

To complement the refreshing cold beverages, Town Square will also heat up with live entertainment from talented local musicians like Soulshiners, Alexa Delly, 3rd Degree Byrnes, Wisteria, Delta Twins, Gerry Bee and the Bluescasters, and more. The bluesy and soulful David Gerald Band will close things out on Sunday afternoon with their tenth straight festival appearance.  

Family fun is on tap in the Kids Zone, located on Center Street, where youngsters can play games, do arts and crafts, get their faces painted, and discover other fun surprises.
