Don’t Forget, the ‘Farmers Market Brunch!’

TRAVERSE CITY – Summer is here and it’s peak season for local agriculture in our beautiful region. With all the bountiful produce, our local farmers need community support — and lucky for us that support includes eating healthy delicious food.

Join us for the 3rd annual ‘Farmers Market Brunch’ and support local agriculture by purchasing food directly from local farmers. During the National Cherry Festival, the Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market relocates to the Old Town Parking Deck, at 125 E Eighth Street, on the corner of Union and 8th.

Taste the Local Difference® will be hosting the Farmers Market Brunch on all market days, July 1st, 5th, and 8th from 7:30am-12pm. The brunch will be a Certified Local Food Event, meaning at least 20% of food ingredients will be locally grown, produced, and sourced directly from the farmers market.  Brunch will be held adjacent to the market, with delicious eats provided by Sugar2Salt, and seasonally inspired coffee drinks prepared by Planetary Coffee!  Both businesses will be offering $1 off for anyone who makes a farmers market purchase that day.

To all you early risers, get to the market right when it opens because the first 100 customers will receive $5 off their farmers market purchase, compliments of National Cherry Festival!

Mark your calendar, ride your bike, grab some brunch, and stock up on fresh, local produce from our wonderful farmers. Help us spread the word about this event and continue to show our local farmers some love!
