A True Farm to Doorstep CSA: Dancing Meadows Homestead

Close to the St. Clair river and spotted with idyllic campsites, the Dancing Meadows Homestead began when Martin and Melodee Beals left corporate life in favor of bringing fresh, affordable food to the people of Southeast Michigan. Now, they run a pesticide, synthetic chemical and GMO free farm, which is reaching their community with a truly worry-free CSA program — one that is delivered directly to doorstep in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties!

Dancing Meadows CSA members have a variety of programs to choose from, as well as add-ons like duck and chicken eggs, honey, free range chickens, or holiday turkeys. Options for the CSA include weekly and bi-weekly shares running from May – December which can be ordered online. Dancing Meadows is also currently in the process of being able to accept SNAP benefits, so reach out to them if you’re interested in using this payment method! While the CSA can be delivered directly to your home, there is also the option to pick up at the farm. Both options are contact free for a safe way to bring fresh produce into your home.

Besides their CSA program, Dancing Meadows will also be having a plant sale on May 7th and 8th, which will be point-and-pick, a method of contact free shopping. Join them on the farm to pick out vegetables to grow in your own garden this summer. Martin and Melodee are passionate about teaching others how to raise animals and grow vegetables, as well, and will be holding educational events as soon as it is permitted to safely do so.
